It’s that time of year again, where the warmer climates will force people to come up with new great ideas on how to improve their homes. The very high buildings have started to be built in the northern part of America, a place with a temperate climate. Therefore, the buildings themselves had to adapt to the caprices of the weather: harsh winds and rainfall. This is why such buildings are meant to keep you away from the bad weather conditions, however, in southern areas where there is sun almost all year round, one cat take advantage of the slow winds and sunny weather. This idea of high-rise buildings pertains to the WHOA architects who decided to take advantage of the tropical climate and open up the space for natural ventilation and indoors gardens. The main intention was to create the perfect down town living conditions at the tropics and as you can see, they mostly succeeded. The construction is practically a combination of staggered arrangements of blocks and glass walls or windows allowing the natural ventilation of spaces. Moreover, the way in which the blocks are oriented allows the sunlight to penetrate ensuring natural light as well. Because of the many elements that allow the wind to breathe through the building, the gaps between the towers make up for awesome sky gardens or terraces.
