Windows are the things that open up the interiors of our buildings to the world outside. There are many variations of windows available based on several different classifications.

One of the ways that different variations of windows are classified is by the method used to open them. This is called the operating type and windows open and class differently depending on the operating type. The proper window for a given room will depend on several factors, but sometimes operating type dictates the choice.
