
Wet rags, wash cloths, clothes, carpets, doormats and other fabrics that have been left damp for over 24 hours seem harmless enough but they can become loaded with mildew without proper ventilation. Actually, any wet object can be a site for growing molds in the home.
Mold love damp and rotten objects because they use these as a food supply. Airborne mold spores fasten themselves to wet objects and wet places and start to multiply.
