A tapestry is a specific type of fabric art that has been around since the Hellenistic times. These do not only come in the form of decorative wall hangings and wall art, but they also come in the form of throw pillow covers, table runners and mats, cushions, handbags, bell pulls and the like. Traditionally, these works of art were woven by hand, but through the passing of time and the development of new and advanced machinery, mechanical devices and instruments have been invented and created to make their production faster and easier.
